Let's make a newbie's exhaust

Ok guys, just bought a new Lancer ES. Time to get started on my upgrades. Intake is simple enough, but now I'm looking towards exhaust. I loved the RRM article for upgrading path, and I plan on doing everything from headers to muffler.

My goal is a ultra-high pitched sound. I would like it to be louder than stock, but the pitch of my 300 mile engine sounds nice. Personally, I don't like those lawnmower sounding, fart mufflers that everyone has. For the sake of being different, and personal preference I want to go high-pitched.

#1 priority is performance, I will give up sound for HP at any time. I would like to know what is a good setup to get what I want. I don't mean any disrespect because I don't like the deep sounding ones.

I bought a nice Apex'i N1 knock off from E-bay and then just custom straightened my pipes. works really well and it was dirt cheap. Sounds really nice too, when I have the test pipe in it gives a really nice high reving sound
