Turbotech's Lancer GTS with full Evo X 4B11T engine project!

I want to share with you my project. Recently my 2.4 engine got water inside and brake a piston. The insurance gave me a lot of money so I decided to change my motor for a 4B11T. Why? Because I have a friend ( have a dyno and tunes a lot of lancers and evos ere in PR) that has all the turbo parts , evo x ecu, and a new 4B11T engine laying in his garage. So I'm gonna buy that engine and all the parts for much less than a new 2.4 engine.

My only concern is if my transmission (4B12) fit to the 4B11T engine. I investigated in many dealers and auto parts and all they say it should fit because it looks the same. I need to know for sure if that fits. Any help on that?

The other thing it's the clutch. I need a better clutch kit for all the power we get with the new turbo engine. Need help with that too.

Info about clutch for our car is appreciated too.

I'm going to post pics when the project start.

So wish me luck and hope this works well.

Here's a pic of my car, I think some of you remember my ride.

that is exactly what im talking about! 4B11t FWD
bolt-ons, tune & tires & that car will destroy any modded lancer. I really look forward to your build keep posting & remember take as many pics & vids as you can

as for the clutch ACT is the only company listing a direct fit for the lancer. rrm sells a "stage 3" but I would look into the stock or act GSR clutch & pressure plate http://www.tunerzine.com/view_news/n...er-evolution-x I dont think you'll need more grab than that!
it should be a very straight forward swap only problem you may have is wires for the electronics but i believe they have standalone ecu or at least better tuning options for the evo. good luck & keep posting

Thanks man, I have all the parts including some AMS parts. I'm using my tranny but definetly changing the clutch. I have the OEM evo x ecu. My tuner said it fit exactly and he can reflash and tune the car.

I will take pics ok!

well for the clutch, you have to make sure the input shaft of the tranny will work with the motor of the EvoX....I think it will, but dont quote me on that. I have the Full OEM service manuals for BOTH the Evo X and Lancer, but I believe the lancer one os just for the 2.0L, but they should use the same tranny. if you want them PM me. as far as clutch fitment, if it all works out, go ACT. I got my stage 3 ACT race disk and pressure plate for 400 bucks shipped, and it came as a kit so it came with those parts, alignment tool, and new release bearing. if you want, call ACT and ask for Dean. He's a great guy and can help you with whatever you need!

let me know how the swap goes btw! I am planning on doing a 4B11T swap later down the line.....

Thanks man for the info!

Can I ask a favor, look into the manuals if the tranny looks the same or something that you can verify that the tranny for a lancer 2.4 4B12 fits the evo block.

Thanks again for the help.

my kit is an MR1-HDG6. The guy specified this and said it would WORK on the 2008 Lancers. I believe it will ALSO work on the 06 ralliarts. it is great, really stiff, holds EVERYTHING you got!
