when to change spark plugs?

im at 38,000 miles on my 2011 lancer es, automatic 2.0 engine im the first owner of my car , is it time to change the spark plugs? or should i just change the Cvt transmission fluid ? or both. i need some advise please.

there are 2 service schedules regular and severe. You should use the severe schedule if you drive frequently in one or more of these conditions.

  • Driving on dusty, rough, muddy or salt-spread roads
  • Towing or police, taxi or commercial operation
  • Extensive idling and /or low speed operation
  • Repeated short-trip operation at freezing temperatures (engine not thoroughly warmed up)
  • Extended use of brakes while driving

  • Driving in sandy areas
  • More than 50 % operation in heavy city traffic during hot weather above 90 °F (32 °C)
There is a copy of both service schedules in your owners manual packet which can be found in your glove box. If you lost it then you can download it here.

I replaced my 2011 ES with the OEM recommended NGK iridium plugs (1312) at roughly 105,000 miles. My mechanic recommended not to mess with CVT fluid replacement because the CVTs are very finicky.
