Hey—I've got the dreaded P0420 blazing up my dashboard and my inspection's due this month. Ugh. I can't afford to shell out the $1100 for Mitsubishi's replacement chunk-o-exhaust, so here I am. Surely somewhere made a generic by now?

This is my daily driver which just needs to work as opposed to do anything special, so I'm looking at a regular OEM-style replacement cat—preferably one that's made for this exact car. But which ones actually work?

But then a lot of other ones are just weld-in replacements for just the cat itself. Is that a better way to go? I have no idea. Suggestions welcome.

The car is a 2010 Lancer GTS with over 151K miles on it, if that helps. Bone stock because not race car.

most of the time it is the oxygen sensor that is in the catalytic converter must be dirty and this type of code can be dirty if all is well replaced by a universal high flow magnaflow 2 1/4 "get in Amazon at a good price another would install a fouler o2 is much cheaper..good luck

I know they sell some for my 2008 gts at auto zone. It bolts on where the stock one does. But you have to clap the back half back on.
