There ya go.

hectik Aug 10, 2006 06:43 PM

interesting...very interesting...i have my own thoughts on this...but can anyone elaborate?

revolt4revolver Aug 10, 2006 06:44 PM

because it it running on each end of the manifold the maf is eliminated. the maf must be on all intake of air so as to communicate air flow to the engine control unit. if not u must eliminate the mas and use standalone of some sort. ie megasquirt, haltech, aem ems

i cant belive you guys havent seen that before. rpw also makes a quad throttle body. i dont know anything about it really, but i've seen it before.

revolt4revolver Aug 10, 2006 07:23 PM

thats pretty cool. i want one.

wonder how much of a difference it makes? hmmm

Blacksheepdj Aug 11, 2006 07:21 AM

For those not in the know, you don't go from MAF to standalone.

Standalone is the way the engine is managed. It essentially replaces the ECU and controls the car on it's own.

For metering air, you'd be removing the MAF and inserting a MAP sensor. Manifold Absolute Pressure - it's a basic sensor that measure the air pressure coming into the motor differently than the MAF does.

ahhh ok. thanks for explaining that.

by "those not in the know" you mean "me" .lol

so how much of a gain would you get of that?

Wallesasuaz Aug 11, 2006 07:38 AM

that setup just makes the engine compartment a bit more crowded.

crypto Aug 11, 2006 07:43 AM

lol ok.

Intresting setup, but I wonder if the the piping for the throttle bodies could be ran so they were not sucking so much hot air.
