When's the right time to get a tune?

Alright,
confession.. this is my first car I've pushed this far with modding ect. and I been thinking, when is the best time to get a tune? I have stock ECU and basic mods.
(4G69 throttle body, crank pulley, cai, full exhaust, short shifter...) What else should I get; upgrade ECU? Piggy back? LMK, thanks guys! {thumbup}:mitsu:

Get a reflash and ideally it should be after every change that will impact A/F ratio ie CAI, exhaust and throttle. DO it now and u will see a nice gain as well as limiting any potential damage to your engine.

Exactly, every single performance mod you do to the engine will benefit from a tune. If you put a cold air intake and an aftermarket exhaust you are pulling more air in and pushing more air out (making the engine more efficient). Without a tune it may give you more hp and tq but your computer is still tuned for the stock parts, which wont flow nearly as much air as aftermarket.

Im new to these cars so i cant say how to go about changing the tune (piggyback, reflash, ect) in the past i have put a stand alone ecm in but that is $$$$$. And can be a giant pain in the a$$

Thanks for the help, bro. I appreciate that! So, I called AMS for a tune on stock ECU and I got quoted6 $550. I'll be going there ASAP. {thumbup}

Thanks for the help. I'm most likely going to AMS and getting my stock ECU tuned.

Thinking about getting on the modding and tuning here pretty quick. Just do a tune after everything you put on so that the car can adjust itself to the new setup without basing its information on previous data.
