Mirage 6A12 engine swap
 

Anyone have links/info on where I can get my hands on a 6A12, preferably a MIVEC version. I've seen pics of a Mirage with the 2.0L DOHC MIVEC 6a12 engine in it. I know i can get one, it's just a matter of time. I plan on punching it out as much as possible and then port/polish. It might be able to be taken out to as much as a 2.8L. The stock engine is just over 200hp, so you can imagine the power gain from boring/port/polish. Turboing may or may not be possible, it's a tight fit, some wicked creative modification may be required. ALSO, the Gallant VR-4 drivetrain may be adaptable to the mirage. Imagine if it was a 2.5L V6 AWD?! I know it will take money, but this will be a conversion over time. It's all a matter of time.

Starting with a 2001 Mirage LS Coupe, with a 4G93 SOHC 1.8L, *sigh* auto; to a 6A12 2.5+L DOHC MIVEC V6, 5spd (6spd pref). PRICELESS.

I think the mirage is a VERY under rated vehicle with a lot of potential. Right now I have my suspension completely done, strut towers/sways, top/bottom, front and rear, poly bushings, adjustable coil overs and struts, and it handles VERY well, and that's with stock wheels. I plan on an evo conversion from the standard 4 x 100 that is stock. I have tons of ideas, and I'll have the money, just need to find everything i need/want.
