Question on HIDS

This is a question for you guys about H.I.D. conversion kits...Guys who have HID on their cars, it would be greatly appreciated if you chimed in on this too.

I'm getting the JDM Cedia lights for my Lancer. And if I'm gonna do that, I gotta do the HID. I'm not clueless on HID, but need some input before I buy a set.

I was referred to http://www.xenondepot.com. I'm actually thinking of buying a set from them if I save enough $$$ for it. I'm not putting my headlights on till Spring, and I have the whole little bit of Fall and all of Winter to save up.

Now on the site...it has 6000k kits running for $549 and the 8000k kits go for $349. The 6000k kits are more expenisve because it uses brand name PHILIPS BALLASTS. Now... isn't the general rule on HIDS the brighter the better? So should I go for the 8000k or save up a bit more for the 6000k kit?

Also if u guys know any other places that sell HIDs for cheaper, that would help a bunch too!

I don't believe that you HAVE to get HID's, it just looks a lot better.

You don't have to get the HIDs but THEY LOOK SO FREAKIN HOT WITH THEM ON. i dunno, slappin some "hyper-whites" on a nice JDM part like that is like murder.

Whoa, not worth it for me. I will not be upgrading to HID so the Cedia lights do not serve a $300 purpose. They are nice though. I am just going to diy black on the OEM lights.

OK, yeah, I'm gonna try and get them as soon as I can, but I have a bit o' debt to handle first. But I completely agree the HID's will do soooo much better in the cedia housings
