Remote Starter?

hey everyone, I was just a little curious about the remote start systems for MT's. What is a good brand and were can I find them at a good cost? Also if you guys think Remote start is not a good idea please let me know. I dont want to do anything that is impractical... So just please let me know.. Thanks..

you all should also look at the pics from the River run that took place on the 24th. To see them look under regions, and under Oregon. Return from River Run is the thread name.

well, in oregon it's technically illegal, but most any good car-alarm system will have the add-in for it. I personally think it's fun, but with an MT it's a little iffy

Well, if you're not comfortable with electronics, it'll be best to pay someone to install it. I installed one in my wife's Accord and it was a real ***** to do, and I am sufficiently comfortable with electronics. In my case, the control unit ended up having an issue, but warranty was out of the question since I self-installed.

The only difference with manual transmissions is that you have to make sure to put in the triggers to make sure the car won't start while in gear. And a disadvantage then is that you'll always have to rely on the parking brake to park the car, because you won't want to leave it in gear.
