Need High-Temp sealant.

Can anyone recommend a sealant that can withstand engine temps? Something like shower ****, but that can withstand engine temps.

yes, RTV is the OEM gasket on a lot of vehicles (mostly 'Merican cars like my wife's saturn, mom's caravan). HOwEVER- I would not recommend it if you're trying to replace the gasket on the valve cover. It's like 1/4" thick and you'd never get RTV to make a seal.

Permatex worked great for me, but again it depends what you're trying to seal. I used their grey on all coolant lines that I had to replace and the black on my oil pan. No leaks, easy to use. Only thing that stinks about it is it's very difficult to use repeatedly...but I kinda expected that.

And yeah, caulk. They're both accepted variants in the english language.
