Only with the aid of God Almighty and maybe a turbo setup... or some serious NA work.

you know how you beat a grand am gt in your lancer???

get out right before you race and slash its tires!

that's about all the chance you have.

I would agree that you would need a turbo, some major NA work (if that would even get you there), or a bunch of Nitrous (dont do that though, you will blow your motor 9 time out of ten).

The two cars just aren't in the same class. If you have a ralliart or better with some basic mods you have a pretty close race, but with a base lancer, no way.

My bro used to have one, and I can say that they are actually rather quick for what they are. VERY unreliable (made by GM, what else can I say), but otherwise fun.

Good luck though......

not ganna happen without MAJOR engine work... you would be better off to trade in the car than try to mod it to that point.

and the lincoln is also a slow car and he will kick your *** in that too plus its kinda lame to borrow your moms car to race with specially when its a lincoln

Grand AM GT's arent all that fast...but neither is a non-modded Lancer as well. If you went with all the basic NA bolt-on mods like cold air intake, ported throttle body and intake manifold, headers, test pipe, cat back exhaust, and piggy back, you might be in there....but that is quite a bit of money though....

a turbo should get me up to 230 whp and his an automatic so he won't get his full hp or torque potential in every run.

True..he will lose some power through the auto, but the biggest advantage IMO is the launch you have over him. If you slip the clutch right, you can get a decent jump on him anyway, modded or not. Which turbo are you hoping to get 230 WHEEL HP from? I don't even think the RoadRace Stage 2 has that much....even with other mods to compliment it...
