Question Best choice for me? (exhaust)

Ok I am looking to upgrade exhaust system for my '04 OZ rally. (I am really kicking myself for not just shelling out the couple extra thousand and getting the ralliart, but now I am stuck with this OZ) Anyway, I just want to buy something that will increase my HP a bit and also give a nice sound. Anyone know what would be best bet?

both the magnaflow and greddy are nice....custom is also pretty cheap but dont expect too much gain from just an exhaust

do you know prices for either of these? And also I would need to buy the muffler and the pipe that connects it to the engine, which would be separate parts right. Everything i would need does not come in one package right?

if u get a catback such as the one from greddy or magnaflow...then it comes with everything you need..if u get a custom one done then u usually find a muffler and tell the palce to give u whatever size piping...usually 2.25

Yeah, 2.25 is better flow for an NA application. To much more than that and you loose to much backpressure, or something like that.

<- Brain dead today.

I would personally go with the GReddy. But that's my opinion. Search the web for Lancer exhaust, and see which one you like best.

Isn't the 04' OZ a different body style and have slightly different exhaust piping? I know only RRM makes a exhaust (axle-back) for the 04' Ralliart.

He said he has an OZ and on a side note I would suggest looking into an intake along with the exhaust if you don't have one already.

No sense in letting out more air from the engine without getting more in also.

I'm going with a GReddy Evo II exhaust. But does anyone know how much extra horsepower you get from it? I already have an Injen RD1830 cold air intake. After an exhaust I suppose a header would be the next step even though I've been told they only increase power by about 5-10 HP.

Yeah, the gains aren't amazing, but you can feel em. More importantly they increase HP rather nicely across the powerband, with intake covering the lower RPMs, and the exhaust mods handling the upper.
