man, if omar is auto then i don't have much of a chance
although, if he hasn't built up his tranny of torque converter, i'm not sure how long that will last considering the boost he's pushing

someone pointed out you can buy a TC for like 1000 bucks, which would be stronger than stock
however, level ten said they will upgrade mine for half as much, plus labor to take it off and put it back on, so those are you choices

well, thats the thing, not all local shops are capable of the work levelten is
what they do is basically take about our torque converter or valve body and start building it back up, reinforcing it as they go. i'm not so sure an everyday transmission shop can do that
what my plan is: send off my valve body and torque converter to level ten, using a local shop to take off and put back on my stuff

My Auto:
-Custom 2.25" Cat-back exhaust
-RRM Short Ram Intake
-RRM Header
-Magnecor Spark Plug Wires
Soon to come (within 6 months):
-RRM Throttle Body
-RRM Intake Manifold
-Magnaflow Bored Fuel Rail
-Magnaflow High Flow Cat
Coming within a year or so:
-RRM Stage 2 Turbo for auto
-Upgrade Pistons for higher Boost
I also have cf hood and will be getting cf trunk soon. So after a year or so I will be pretty fast. But after 6 months, I will be a pretty fast N/A auto Lancer.

valve body, honestly i don't know, but that upgrade is what quickens up shifts and makes it more like a manual, or so i'm told.

u can actually run up to 25psi with the vortech unit provided by Ripp, stage 3 u run at 18psi on all cars. The 3g eclipse, one was running about 405+whp at 18psi, than they created the belt tensioner, and he started boosting 20-21psi. You can get the lancer running more than 10psi which i m currently running right now. A new intake manifold, lets say a 4g93 mannifold will help increase alot of power with the sds. The 4g94 manifold is very small not, not boos freindly the camber sux, thats y ripp has not developed a stage 3 for the lancer untill they make a intake manifold for the lancer. well if i get the 4g93 intake manifold i can go to ripp and c if its big enough to run a stage 3 setup. but to bad im getting rid of the lancer. theres so much u can do to get the SDS throw in so much power, it really is a underated kit, pple just don't understand, pple didn't give ripp a chance. Gbwaccha can vouch since i have given him a ride, he was impressed. He was on my back to do a 5spd swap cause he wants to c the real power from the kit, the auto holds back. I will miss this kit. when i was considering in gettin a new car which is now an Evo, i was thinkin maybe i should move to a 6yl like a tibby or 3g eclipse and run the Ripp kit but i need a awd car for upstate ny when i go to school. well greenpsyco, i wish u the best of luck i know u looked into the sds but have ur mind set at with the turbo. they shouldn't make cars in auto also hehe
o yea ripp was testing a intake manifold they have made for the 3g 4 cyl eclipse, it was currently runnin a stage 2 at 9psi. ith the new intake manifold the blower increased boost to 16 from the intake manifold. I also remember a guy with a galant(auto) who was running a stage 1 5psi, he took out the intake manifold an dput a diamante intake manifold and ran 9-10psi. just think about a Im for a sds lancer, i wish i did it to fined out but i don't wanna do anything now

yeah, sorry nextgen, its just that i don't live near ripp at all so if there was a problem with the blackbox or anything else, few people on the forum could help and no one in my area can tune/troubleshoot that kinda setup.
but a few places around me can handle turbos

yeah that seems to be the concensus. both are great forms of power but alot more people can tune a turbo car depending on the fuel/timing management you choose.
Either way i think this will be fun to watch and if you start getting too close i may just jump back in hahaha.
