Oil Pan for 02 lancers

Does anyone know or have an idea how much the dealer will charge for an oil pan..i need that shi! sooon...my bolt is stripped because some ***in moron used a breaker bar to tighten the bolt...i would make him pay for it but i dont wanna start a whole fight with this gas station dude since he denies everything...its not for my car but rather my moms 02 Silver ES...i do my own oil changes on my oz...but besides the point...im in need of an oil pan quickly because it leaks...any suggestions on where to go for an 02 lancer oil pan and how much the dealer will charge?

did they strip the oil drain plug hole?? If thats what u think is leaking first I would drain the oil and check yourself, because i ran into the problem of my drain plug leaking, and I thought I just lost the washer, so I went to mitsu to get a new one and its actually like an aluminum crush gasket that goes between the plug and oil pan. When I took my old plug out, I still had the old gasket but it was so flat that it wasnt sealing at all. I would check that if u havent already.

Upper oil pan (you don't need this, but some people may if they search and find this thread) is $112.09 on Mitsubishiparts.com

Lower oil pan (you need this) is $20.76.

That's actually a hell of a decent price! Go fig!

That's what I'm here for, Mike. Make sure you clean the thing good before reinstall. I spent 10 minutes on it with a razor (just like planing off excess crap) and it came out spectacular.

Just get a wooden block and a hammer or small sledge. Should come right off. Bang on it sideways. I just got mine off with a stern shot from the palm of my hand.

Thanks guys...my mom is drivin around with a new lower oil pan for $20.00 from mitsu parts.com and was installed for $80...total was like $110ish...but thanks for the replies guys...appreciate it...my car is doin well..but i have to pick up my restored license next week from the MVC...damn judge took it away cause i was speeding by 26mph..i was down 76 in a 50...i know its terrible but i let my foot off the gas on a hill while talkin to a friend and didnt realize my speed until i saw a cop sitting at an old gas station waiting for me....sucks doesnt it? the judge thinks im irresponsible for goin that fast and took it away for a month...maybe its cause im 17...damn it...ANYWAYS the oil pan bolt was stripped when the asshol was tightening it...i figured he used a breaker bar or somethin with high leverage since the bolt didnt even come out...had to take a hammer to knock off the stripped bolt..the threads were stripped completely...again..thanks for the replies...and DONT EVER MAKE A MISTAKE BY NOT LOOKING AT THE SPEEDOMETER OCCASIONALLY...cause i ended up taking the school bus to school..hahahaa
