pondering painting tail lights

ok, so on my way to work today, i was thinking about cars ( like almost every drive to work) and the thought occured to me..why dont i paint my tail lights. i have an 2004 oz, with the chrome tail lights. and i wanted to paint the housing black. Does anyone have pictures of an 04-05 painted tail lights..or maybe 02-03 just so i can get an idea????? also, i was looking at my tail lights and only saw 2 screws holding it in place...is it only these 2 screws or do i have to take off the fabric wall in my trunk to get to other screws??? hmmmmmmmm but yeah...input fellas,, INPUT!!!!!!!!!!! lol

ive got a leaky tail light and ive heard about baking them to get the seal to seperate. could you explain what exactly I have to do, I fixed my other tail with silicone but for somereason it reacted with black paint stuff in the tail light and stained my bumper so im trying to avoid that this time.

those painted look awsome.

you can't bake them. they're not like the headlights. like pete said ^^^ twisty is the only one i've seen. i would pm him and talk to him about it, but i know he had to cut his open to do it.

only 2 people that I know of have done this, Twisty and another SCLC member Thrilhouse, you have to cut them open with a Dremel very carefully, and then use some sort of adhesive and glue them back together, baking them warps the plastic, trust me Thrilhouse tried that first and messed up one of his tails.
