almost but no, ( im not trying to be dick, just trying to be funny ) it something to do with carbon build up in the TB, seems like the flash is for BRAND NEW cars that don't have carbon, they say take it in, have the throttle plate cleaned, and then adjust the idler...

let me see if i understand here.

the recall is for the CEL caused by the 1st cat. they take your car and "reflash" your ECU to turn the CEL off. but when you drive your car afterward, the idle is 300 rpms higher? and if i take my car to the dealer (even with kamikaze's that cause a CEL because my lazy butt won't put the eliminator in) that they will still honor the recall and the "reflash" will fix the CEL? (really just trying to decide if i should drive an hour and a half to get this done!!)

from what i remember from the other thread that was started like a month ago about this subject if you got an aftermarket Header than you should disregard this recall ... its about the cat (inside the stock header) So since thats gone (which is why you have CEL) you dont need the reflash ...someone can correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure thats correct

well f-that then. i haven't blown up yet so i think i'd rather not be looking at my odd RPM's until i get around to getting new headers...
