04+ Projectors reviews, comments, concerns

Ok guys I'm pretty sure i want to get some projectors in the next week or two. There are some nice ones on ebay for 185 which seems like an awesome deal.

Who has projectors of any kind for the 04+? How was install? where did you buy them? anything else i should know before getting them? i already emailed the guy asking if they were bolt on for the us lancer so assuming he says yes is there anything else holding me back? I know there have been a few threads about projectors but i can't find any reviews or advice!

Please post pics if you guys have them. thanks a lot

I don't know if there are JDM projectors for the Lancer, but if there are I'm sure they're insanely expensive. If they exist, I suggest saving up. I realize I don't have a FWD Lancer, but I have already been through two sets of Ebay style projectors for my Eclipse, and they are absolute garbage. The only reason the ones I have now are tolerable is because I have a McCullogh HID kit.

The fit and finish is crappy, they usually have foglight style H3 bulbs for main lighting which I think a Bic lighter puts out more lumens, and they usually have poor adjustment features - or none at all. Plus they'll probably unseal and fog up pretty quick. If you get them, don't sell your OEMs.

Yea they are nice, but what's the point?

Just spend your money on HID's! They'll be way brighter than a projector.

haha yeah i wish. i realize that hids will be brighter but they are more expensive. plus i really like the look of the projectors and detest my current stock headlights. all i really need to know is if these projectors aren't total junk and if they will still light the road decently.

thanks for that link it really helped me out

anyone other input?
