I've got some money to spend!

Yup! I lucked out and came up on some extra cash!

So it is time to mod!...

But I don't know what to get. The one thing that I wanted was a Piggy BUT since Iguess we are about halfway through cracking our ECU I'm skeptical about getting now. (I was sooo looking forward to it also )

Oh well. I have around $350 to spend. The only way I would spend more is if I were getting that Piggy but as I just said...

The other mods like header (Too much money for a little gain plus I'm plan on turboing on tax return) Same goes for IM and TB too much money for a little gain. I would need a Piggy to use those to their full potential you know?

I was just thinking about changing out my stock rear speakers, getting my eyelids painted and getting a front strut bar and that would be about $350.

I read some reviews on these items but I didn't find enough personal experience.

Could you guys give me some feedback on these items or give me some suggestions? I know its a Lancer and I'm not expecting that big of a difference but you know...

^ paint your own eyelids, its not hard. the engine damper from NSC is a nice little piece for about 70$ shipped and you can easily install it yourself.

+1.....also. why would'nt you want the breather mods? If you are going FI would'nt the breather mods be that much better an investment?

get the intake manifold and throttle body ported locally. Much cheaper and theres no core or anything. You'll feel gains even without the piggyback. I had it and it really wasnt what everyone says it is. you feel it pulls a little better up hills and passing on the highway, but other than that, no it doesn't make you launch really fast or anything, it just costs more for gas. get the cable to mess with your own ecu and have a professional do it.

Oh sure, now you talk bad about the piggy . I never thought mine did that much either. Hell, the crank pully and the RPW FPR seemed to do alot more for my cars performance than the piggy.

If you are going to go turbo then you should start saving money towards that...gauges...maybe to get it professionally tuned etc.

wait for your taxes and throw that money in with your turbo fund. if not, get the IM or TB since you are going turbo. thats my opinion.

I'd go for the upgraded sway bar myself, front strut doesn't do a whole lot compared to the rear sway bar. Could also get a ported IM and TB now so you don't have to do it with all the turbo piping in the way.

I agree. I had a thread and it was mentioned that strut bars dont have as much effect as the rrm (progress) sway bar with autox perches. You will notice the difference. The damper didnt excite me much. $70 wasted. imo.

I would get the sway and mabey upgrade your brakes, slotted rotors and steel braided lines for a nice upgrade in stopping power.
But if you want a handling mod id start with the sway/with perches.

i bought the rear sway bar...it was great until i snapped two bolts(i drive my car really hard) thats what i would get for it. im turbo and i dont have the tb or im. Tuning is a great idea. i know money burns a hole in the pocket of a tuner, so make sure what you get is a decent product, not a bunch of garbage.

Did you buy the perches with it? I heard on here that the stock perches on a OZ actually twist and bend when under heavy load.

^^^ +1 They sure do. Sway bar is a pain if you don't get the perches. Stock perches will definately break. They should'nt even sell the progress sway without perch upgrade.
