Thats a lot of work to put in the car...maybe close to $5,000 of work has to be done?? I'm not an expert in body repair but if you have money to fix it then go for it. If you're successful, you are the pride owner of a re-incarnated Lancer.

Go for it, if you get it for 2g's and sink 5-7g's into it, sounds like a score to me! You could also mod the **** out of it while repairing it, that's what I'd like to do some day.

it may be more than that, cause my friend crashed a civic si and messed up the hood, radiator, headlights, fenders and one rim and it was something ridiculous like 15 or 20k the insurance paid to the body shop. and the frame wasn't bent on the civic at all. if you buy that lancer make sure the frame isn't bent at all because i've heard its not really worth it to straighten a frame cause it will never drive or handle the same again once the frame has been bent.

2000 is really cheap the for everything the car still has. even if you don't repair it, you could do what Andrew said.
