thats why I said don't get the whole bomz intake. It is cheap, because its 2 small pipes welded into a 90 degree angle which isn't the best design. But the adaptor is just a plastic piece allowing you to attach a filter or piping to the MAF. Plenty of people are using that intake fine, I just don't like the look or design of the whole thing. Whatever you choose, you can't really go wrong, as long as you don't touch the honeycomb inside you MAF sensor

DONT TOUCH THE HONEYCOMB!!!

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=242667 dunno if that helps you any.

Oh and beware of the kits on ebay with the mandral bent tube in the pic. i ordered a kit just for the tube and got the crappy kit with the welded 90* tube.

My pipe is REALLY FAT and i've pulled unexpected wins. my advice is buy a ebay cold air intake piping and a K&N filter....that's what i did.

most important thing I can think of is to make sure that the portion of the tube around the MAF is the same diameter as stock. A RA guy a while back had a custom setup that was about an inch larger than stock where he mounted his MAF and it ran really bad because it was not registering proper airflow.
