Aww crap.... low safety / crash test rating... US Lancer

Fox news last night played this **** about how a 5 mph crash cost $850 to fix. Something like that. Anyway... it was rated really low. Bottom 5 I think it was. Damn... what a shame.

That's because cars are designed to crumple in a crash. It's great for absorbing energy, but even low speed hits have the potential to ruin the car.

actually it cost more than 2200 to fix the lancer bumper. prices ranged from 2200 to 3600. the kia sedona was 3600 but they never mentioned how much the lancer cost so at least 2200.

damage costs.. BAH

I hit a curb goin 25mph .... took out my Cv-boot, rim, tire, lower A-frame, and crossmember. Total cost: $2500, Time: 7 days so far and they havent started yet and they havent recieved all of the parts.. heh.. prolly lookin at 3 months

If you really think about it htat test seems like BS to me! Who actually hits something that hard and if you do who really cares for saftey. Most people hit stuff going a hell of a lot faster and then were talking fenders, hoods etc. What a lame test! Waste of time and money I think.

I know I shouldnt be rallyin around, but its the only way I drive and who wants to go through life just being a borring little schoolboy?
