Window moleskin felt installation
yup i also was very careful and took my time doing the install and still have lots of scratches
lancer0220,
I think your full of it. The product works. I have had it on THREE of my cars for over 4 years straight without a single problem.
I bought the Tint Protector kit. NOT the generic Moleskin you can buy cheaply elsewhere. Just because it says moleskin doesn't mean it's made by Tint Protector. You know that right?

I've heard they have some of the best customer service of any online business.
Did you contact them? I assume not since you are badmouthing them. I'll make sure I send this thread to them so if you ever do contact them they will know who they are dealing with.
Did you use any harsh chemicals on your window that could have broken down the glue on the felt? Sometimes the tint shop uses chemicals when they install the tint. It's better to install the Tint Protector AFTER your tint is installed.
All I know is everyone I have spoken with is happy with the kit they sell and that it lasts for years and years as I have seen on my cars.

EVERYONE is happy ? yet theres about 6-8 other people on this thread who have complained about it, the day I got my tint was the day i ordered the kit online, so it was probably 5 or 6 days after i got my tint installed that I put the protector on it. I dont use anything but glass cleaner for cars with tint (ammonia free) and I dont drench the window in cleaner i actually spray the cleaner on a microfiber towel then wipe. the only cause of the glue to wear down is the heat. i mean it worked well for about 11 months i have no scratches or anything.
30 bucks...you get what you pay for.
you can send this thread to them, I dont care im not gonna contact them, like i said you get what you pay for from their product. it does its job , theres nothing else out there to protect our tint so its better than nothing.

If it's installed correctly it will last for the life of the car.
Goo-gone gets the glue off in a second.
crap well i realize i never posted pics of the protector coming off because it was SOO FU*Kn annoying i fixed it the same day . I bought a can of 3m spray adhesive and re did ALL of the windows and its been about 3.5 months and i have had zero problems.

found out tint protector finally took my advice and got better instructions.
only problem is, they STOLE them form a member over on 9glancers without asking his permission or referencing him. they NOW reference him and have apologized for taking his photographs.

Ya, Tint Protector has great customer service. I'm sure they didnt mean to hurt anyone feelings.
The Felt is thier product - the instructions are just a + in my mind. Their moleskin has been on two of my cars for 4+ years with no problems.

You have said this about four times already, and you just need to stop...seriously, just stop. The fact that you come on here and tell people that tint protector is so amazing and anyone that has problems with it must be a complete idiot just makes me feel like your the one thats full of it. I don't know a product out there that doesn't have problems. I dont really think a strip of felt needs to be discussed this much. It's felt with glue on the back, and there are better ways of doing it. I tinted my windows, and have been riding around for 7 months with no felt and no problems. You dont need to be a jerk to everyone who comes up with a different idea. Your magic felt seems to be working fne for you, so leave it at that, wouldn't spend your life worrying about other peoples tints.
