AtThisVelocity,

The inside weather strip has no felt from the factory. Unless your never putting down your windows your Lancer MUST be starting to show sign's of fine scratches vertically.

There is no other way of dealing with it other than putting some sort of felt on the hard plastic.

If you put cheap felt on, the glue will melt and it will fall off. Just trying to save people time and money.

see, there you go again, I dun told your illiterate *** that I dont have scratches on my tint, im not an idiot, I can tell what scratches are and what it is that causes them. Ill take pictures if you want me to prove it. but then I would be wasting my time, which you've said already you are trying to save me time, by arguing with the truth. I got quality tint, and keep my windows clean, and my tint is just fine. Plus if I do get scratches, I have my tints under a warranty, for as long as I own the car i get my tints fixed for free. Pretty sweet deal, saves me more money then you could have ever saved me by telling me your useless information about some stupid felt and glue. So next time your scrubbing glue off the tints on your window look at the reflection of the douche looking back at you and think of me never having to do what your doing. haha

Your 2010 Lancer won't have any felt on the inner weather strip. Are you getting steaks on your tint vertically?

Yes, and I got my tints done from the dealership when I bought my lancer. I bought the moleskin kit for the lancer, and personally I think its a pain in the *** to do. My advice is, buy the kit, and have someone install the moleskin while your having your tints done or redone.

this is disappointing knowing that mitsubishi didn't address this issue earlier...especially after so many folks ruined tint jobs...including me..would be nice if they would pay us back!

Very true, but the way they see it is if it's not an issue when the vehicle is stock then it's not their problem.

It would have been nice to have some warnings about how ****ty the glue holds up to heat. It doesn't matter how carefully you install the strips, when it gets over 100 like here in Vegas, you better not roll down your windows.

On the plus side no scratches... unless they're covered up by the glue streaks.

I wonder how much they are saving not installing felt on these cars...

How is it useless? You buy the kit from Tint Protector and they provide photos and instructions.
