The RPW header is the best in theory, it has a better design than any other thread out there and people seem to feel they gain more power when they go from the other guys to the RPW unit.
Been there, done that.
Minimal difference, as with any friggin Lancer NA mod.

Minimal difference, but there's still a difference. I say in the FAQ that you won't get big power out of NA, at least not bolt-on NA and that's why I stayed away from saying "X mod will give X power". I'll add more technical discussion though since that's probably a good idea.

The issue with the rpw vs rrm is that the rpw header makes you lose a MASS amount of torque, gives u SOME better top end. The rrm just didn't gain as much up top IMHO but i could move when i hit the gas which is important i think.

Though this write up will help and it's good u put in the time.

I thought it was the other way around, the RPW should give more torque down low since it's a long-tube design as opposed to a shorty.

That makes sense then. Theoretically a long tube header should outperform a shorty header in absolute terms.

It's amazing the rumors and myths that get taken for facts. I've installed parts on cars and got 100% opposite effects of what I read on the boards.

To Kungfu - it IS Nick's FAQ. If you don't like his opinions, then you are welcome to make your own. I have my "Lancer Gospel" thread that pissed off half the people that read it. But they're my versions of the way it is and I stick by them.

Also, as time goes by, Nick's will get updated. If you have any information you'd like to add or comment on, either post or PM me and I'll consider any changes. In the end, I do want Nick's "SUPER FAQ" page to be unbiased and as informational as possible.

I already made some changes, namely a disclaimer and some revisions to the fuel section.

OK I'm going to bump this since I finally have time to make revisions/additions to the FAQ. What do people think the current FAQ is missing? It's already been changed once and various things were added. These include pictures, a section on timing, a section on air to fuel ratio, a section on the basics of an engine, a section with suggested upgrade paths and I have a newer version which has a list of requirements for people wanting to make their own turbo kit, a minor section with electronic-based mods, and I'm going to add a tuning section as well. Can anyone think of other things they'd like to see in the FAQ?
