Unhappy Ebay smoked taillight tint

Well i bought one of those pre-cut smoke tints from ebay to put on my taillights.

And when i recieved it i was pretty happy and tried to put it on.

After a while i realized that since it was a pre cut there was problems applying it onto the taillight because of the curves of it (mainly the upper part because the stretching from the two ends creates a tension on the tint). After numerous tries i just gave up and just threw it away.

Pretty bummed out from this experience. Has anybody put tint on their taillights as well and had a somewhat better outcome?

get some VHT niteshades instead of cheapo ebay crap... put a couple coats of the niteshades on and you'll be good to go.

or if you don't want to do it ebay (again ): http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/vhtnigpain.html

Was it tint film or vinyl? If tint film, it has no business outside of the car in the first place. If it was vinyl, you need to have it, and the taillight, wet so you can shift it around, stretch it, and smooth it out before it sticks.

VHT is really good stuff, Ive used it on many cars, never had fading, always been happy, just dont over apply and make sure there is still some red and white left or them po pos will be on you, then you will be needing to buy a new set haha.. but yea that stuff works super well
