i typed up the list neatly and am printing him a copy ahha

1. In case of drivetrain failure the manual has a clutch to burn through

which costs nothing compared to a destryoed auto tranny. Detroyed auto

transmissions can cost thousands to replace.

2. Manual transmission yield faster accelerations. This can be vital in

trying to avoid a crash, trying to beat a light, anything.

3. Manual Transmissions are just more fun to drive.

4. Guys who drive stick wont call me a loser for driving auto.(haha)

5. When driving a manual transmission u need to be more attentive, plus,

you have more control of your vehicle, thus, it's safer.

6. Manual transmission get better gas mileage than auto. You know once i

have to pay for gas i will try to save it as much as possible...

7. We can get white, the color you like the best, and i now like the best

and carbon fiber looks amazing and adds incredibly great looking contrast

on white

8. We will get rid of that hole in the trunk by not purchasing a spoiler

when I put on the evo 7 one.

9. Lauren wants to learn stick now anyways. She and I could practice

together. This could yield some brother-sister bonding otherwise not

possible.

10. The money lost in the end(if any) will be less than a transmission

conversion.

11. I will love you forever and ever and ever.

I suggest you remove the part about faster acceleration to beat a light...

LOL come on man, he's trying his best to get that stick, help him out a bit

i think the gas saver is the biggest one..ive heard of people getting 33 to 38 mpg on stick whereas i get 24mpg with auto..

lets say u drive 1000 miles each week (im not sure if thats a lot or not). and comparing 24mpg (auto) to 33mpg (manual) you will only need 30.3 gallons compared to 41.6 gallons. And lets just assume gas is $1.50 (which is pretty damn cheap around here lol) anyways, u will be saving a little over $17 each WEEK. and u can always bump that manual mpg to get more money saved too good luck man

I'd also take out that "trying to beat the light line"..it shows irresponsibility..and you have a typo in point 1. "detroyed" auto transmissions..sorry don't mean to sound like a ******** english professor..just wanted to point that out lol.

hmm learning to drive stick (for you and your sister) may be vital in case of an emergency..that happened to me..bf had really bad pains and couldn't drive at the same time..i had to drive him to the hospital, in his car...a stick shift ...which i was forced to..not a pretty sight when you're nervous, panicking and rushed! therefore you should learn ahead of time!!

warranty should cover an auto transmission but thats a side point.

#1 reason for wanting a stick: Being able to push start your own car for when the battery is dead so you don't have to call your dad at 2am to come give ya a jump.

However, the Lancer shuts off all electric things, including headlights, about 10 seconds after the key is removed. Don't tell him that though. :P

Tell him you want to experience a stick in a car while you still live at home so he can teach you the right way to drive a stick.

If he's onboard with modding the car, be honest, tell him a manual tranny is easier to mod than an automatic.

sticks are cheaper....also if your going down a pass and your brakes fail you can go into a lower gear to control speed.

Great job copying and pasting. Why didn't you just get a stick in the first place?
