So far, I can tell you that it's a quiet ride, good tires (Dunlop 5000), seats are comfortable (I got the regular, not the leather), it's fast, navi system is great... however, I do notice ROLL (which I hate) - I think the car really needs a lower sense of gravity via coilover/lowering spring install and perhaps some sway bars, rear strut tower bar, et cetera to stiffen it up. This would correct the roll. Perhaps my 4g eclipse with cusco coilovers w/ econ and an evolution viii with coilovers have me spoiled, but this has allowed me to differientiate between good suspension and superior suspension.

Yes, I agree that the all-season tires are not the best and yes, they do contribute to a feeling of reduced control on the road ("not gripping right" as you put it). Nevertheless, lowering the center of gravity and stiffening the ride with braces would decrease roll (that tilting feeling - very noticable on tight turns or if you change lanes quickly).

lowering the car with just springs does a lot to reduce body roll in turns. I personally wouldn't go as far as coil-overs for a daily driver.

Which springs did you go with? Did you notice a huge difference? Do you still notice some roll?

Has anyone installed the Road Race Lancer G.R.I.P. Spring Kit on the 2009 Lancer? I might look into it. Although I've been bottoming out with the stock height LOL. There is severe deep scratching under my front lips (left and right).

ouch... might not want to lower it in that case...

i havent had any bottom outs or scratches to the bumpers yet.. fingers crossed. I had a low car in the past and have learned to take it easy over any bumps and approach inclines at an angle to avoid scrapping. the lancer looks low with the GTS kit but its really no lower then a 3 series or other sporty car

Road Race makes it for the 2008. Has it been tested for the 2009?
