$17,264...... Is that too much for a new OZ Rally
The model year is coming to an end. You should be getting a pretty good on a new one. The sale price on mine was $300 over invoice (and then I got a $500 graduate rebate, woohoo!). I recommend using invoice as a good scale. By the end of the year, they'll be willing to sell them under invoice. Make sure to ask for the grad rebate if you're graduating any time soon, or recently did. Dealerships love to give that because they don't pay for it.
I got my 02' over a year ago and fully loaded with yellow and black leather it came to 17,800 before tax and title. If you can get a good used one you might be better off, the value drops pretty quickley. when you test drive it don't be afraid to get on it, they're not really to quick so feel it out to make sure thats what you want.

no reason to buy it new tho..you can probably find one with less then 10,000 miles on it and it will be very cheap because this car does not hold any value at all for some reason.

2. It's very odd that the car does'nt hold value. Expecially since it's has one of the highest safety rating in it's class.
yea i got my oz for 16,000 then to be nice, i added the undercoating (200) and security system w/ remote start for 500, so a total of 16,750 before title and registration. the security system mightve been a little expensive but it's doing it's money's worth so im happy.
I paid $18,730 (that's with tax) for my '02 OZ without a sunroof.. Definitely get a used one.. They are going for like 12k.. I wish I waited to get mine.. I bought it as soon as it came out and got absolutely no deal and am regretting it every month that I make the $321.04 payment..

2002 OZ 5MT, 8,124 miles for $11.5 from Blake Mitsu in NH back in Feb.
Currently @ about 18,000 miles, not a single hint of any problem at all. Not a single one, not even rattles (excluding the buzzing the plastic interior can make at stero volumes nearing max)
Plus they gave me oil for my next oil change + filters on top of changing it there, along with a bunch of other Evo swag (enough for me and enough to bring home for DaTenshi too!!!)

a yukon ran over your car and ure still alive, sounds safe to me! Its not the safety of the car its the safety of the driver. I mean i would much rather die after my car.
and i do believe the lancer has crumple zones. Can anyone back that up?
