So cool, I wish the US version had the same features!

pffft.... it's not THAT great... I just looked at the specifications of the Euro car... your options are:
1) Gasoline powered 1.5L engine (109HP) w/ 5spd transmission
2) Gasoline powered 1.8L engine (143HP) w/ 5spd transmission
OR
3) 2.0L DIESEL engine (140HP) w/ 6spd transmission
Soooooo, yeah, they can keep that 6spd transmission if I have to have a tractor motor attached to it. I also notice that their 0-100KPH times are ALL slower than the US model. So... again ... they can keep it.
There's nothing particularly special about the EU model that we don't have on the US model or can't get soon.
I'd rather have the 2.0L gasoline engine/transmission we have in the US versus ANY of the engine/transmission options they have in the EU.

yea i mean, the engines all suck, but it seems like all the other countries have all the best features available already... we are still waiting on a "touring package" for the 09s... while their 08 models already had xenon headlights, etc..
yeah and then you would complain about the price of the car due to so many options... seriously... there is a reason why mitsu north america only put limited options to our cars... if you want HIDS or heated seats go buy a lexus or a bmw
[QUOTE=mmartahus;5865581]^^a new 30k BMW or lexus wouldnt even have HIDS
well it seems like a fully loaded gts is around 21K with all those options and tax and what ever included it would go up to 30k imo

It would be a good option here in the states, I think.
Yeah, if I were looking for something purely for its fuel economy, I would look at diesel powered cars. However, maximum fuel economy is hardly ever my #1 consideration when I go car shopping. If it were, I would not have bought a 2008 Lancer, because there are plenty of other options out there that get better fuel economy.
