How much power can I expect to make on this 4g94T setup?

Hey guys.. I'm just trying to gauge how much power to the wheels I can expect to make with my turbo build. I'm listing the modifications my 2003 lancer es will have once I get all the stuff for my custom kit installed.

Alright, so here's the setup starting from the filter to exhaust then fuel.

- k&n oversized filer
- evo 8 intake plumbing & intercooler piping
- evo 8 front mount intercooler
- TD05H 16g turbo from evo 8
- Megan Racing Turbo Manifold w/ modified 4g94 flange
- stainless steel o2 housing ----- I was considering running o2 dump, not sure if it would be worth the extra $200 though.
- Ebay evo 8 stainless steel downpipe (Haven't checked the flanges yet to make sure it will bolt to my hi-flow cat's position.. so this may change, dunno yet. Can someone verify?)
- high-flow catalytic converter
- 2.25" catback exhaust
- synchronic bov (may change)
- AEM FPR
- Walbro 255lph fp

**Blow-through setup, where the MAF is located after the turbo.**
I heard/read that the stock lancer ECU can compensate for the additional airflow from the turbo with a blow-through setup for low boost.

I'm hoping to run 5-9psi on the stock 4g94 internals.... but that may change. What is a safe amount of boost to run for a daily driven basis?

Yeah so let me know.. I'm still doing a lot of research. ALL INPUT IS APPRECIATE AND WILL HELP THE BUILD!!

If I'm missing something that is absolutely needed.. please let me know.

thanks!

5-8 is what i would suggest for a daily driver on stock internals and youll probably be looking around the 200hp range. look around the forums there is TONS of stuff on this topic.

I would guess you'll dyno at around 140-170 WHP on that setup depending on what dyno you're on. 6 or 7 PSI is a good target if you're on the stock internals.

140 WHP on some dynos could mean a 60 WHP gain. I can't see someone gaining significantly above that with only 6-7 PSI of boost. That's roughly 10 WHP per 1 lb of boost which is pretty damn good for a stock motor with very few bolt-ons to increase flow.

Ahh, alright.

That amount of power sounds good to me. The build has been relatively inexpensive so far. A lot of the parts I've gotten free or for trading things I no longer use.

Will I need bigger injectors for the build? I'm not running an aftermarket ecu so I'm assuming no.. will the stock injectors be able to supply the necessary amount of fuel for the 5-7psi range I will be running?

Stock injectors will work fine using that fuel pump and a Vortec FMU. If you go with a FPR I believe you will have to up your injectors

do it right and do the wrx 440's. then you dont have to mess with it if you want to turn it up. i was using a piggy setup in my car before i went with 440's. i wish i would have done it earlier is all i can say.

i believe it can never done this setup before but you definatly gonna want to data log your car to make sure that your not getting any knock and that your afr's are in the correct range

Alright, I just did a compression test to make sure the motor was fine before going out and buying more..

Boost is a go. 12kpx, or 180lbs compression across all 4 cylinders

the lancer maf will not work for a blow through design period...the honeycomb is too delicate and will suck into your intake , evo guys have even sucked the honeycomb into there turbos, you cant remove either because you will not get a steady airflow signal over the wire sensor of the maf ...

if your dead set on blow through you need to get a gm maf and a maf translator ...

440's are the way to go a walbro 255lph pump is almost overkill I'd suggest getting a stock 2g eclipse gsx fuel pump , its a ton better to have more fuel then you need then too little ..

Ohh.. wow.. I did not think of that.

The honeycomb can really get sucked into the intake?

Well.. Yeah I'm dead set on blow through, could you explain the gm maf & maf translator method?
