Hey guys, I just installed my turbo & everything, I used an evo 8 FMIC.

Sadly, my front crash beam HAD to be removed in order to make it fit...

I'm concerned that the car will not handle as well as it should without this beam? I.E. chassis flex..

I know it's not safe if I were to get into an accident..

I plan on fabricating a slimmer one that will fit under my bumper asap, just wanted to make sure that my 03 lancer es will be structurally & handlingly sound without the front crash beam for a while?

 

been running mine this way since i turboed back in aug of 08. yes its a little weak you get in an accident but the lancer front end is very weak to begin with for front end crashes ive seen.

nope. jsut that the rear end wants to walk out doin 60 around an onramp onto the interstate but thats normal at about 7psi around it for my lancer.
