I too refuse to go to the dealer for maintenance since they are way overpriced. So far the only problems I'm starting to see now is a slight rough idling when at a red light or stop sign. I was having a similar problem: I Cleaned my throttle body today - I was really surprised how gunked up it was - and it resolved the issue. Car runs good as new

Ok I kind of feel I did not make a mistake on buying my GTS, it is a 09 and the only option that was not there was the leather. But for some odd reason i know the leather package came with heated seats but mine did get the heated seats and it cloth.

I have owned several mitsu cars in the past:
90 and a 91 Eclipse GSX
86, 87, 88 Starion ESI
91 galant VR4
and now a 89 Conquest TSI - SHP package with 50k on it.
But most of the cars where reliable even after beating on the real hard.

I was kind of thinking i had made the wrong choice but from what i have read on the forums, I feel alot better. ALso for got to mention the 09 GTS i have has 30k miles on it and have not done any thing to it. The Lexus IS 250 or 350 also has similarity to the Lancer also but without the price.
