reprogramming your sunroof
hey guys,
i dont know if anyone else has had any issues like this but here we go.
i just bought my o-z rally about a month ago and the sunroof wasnt working. i got on this forum and found a post by "cajun power" that shows how to remove the headliner step by step and helped a whole lot. i had the same issue he did with a couple of the bolts falling out. so once i got it all put back together my sunroof would go back fine but would only go forward an inch or 2 at a time. and would go straight into tilt mode and if you keep pushing the button you can tell that the motor is still trying to go forward.
here is how to fix all of this if you have this issue:
1. move the sunroof as far forward as it will go.
2. press and switch forward (closed position) and HOLD for about 30 seconds.
3. release button and press forward again. this should close the sunroof from the tilt position.
4. push the button back to make sure the sunroof slides all the way back.
4a. if the sunroof stops itself while trying to slide back slide it back to the tilt position.
4b. loosen the bolt on the mount at the windowon each side, do not take completely out, and allow the window to move down on the mount, then tighten bolts.
4c. try openning sunroof again.
repeat these steps until you get the sunroof running in all directions properly and seated against the roof properly so there are no leaks.
hope this helps. let me know
