What info would I need to buy some wheels beside clearance and wheel size. And if I want to make it a bit bigger what work would have to be done so the tires dont scrape thanks in advance

This tool should help you measure the before and after for wheel fitment. Start with the OEM Wheel (17 x 8 +38) and measure your current clearances under the fender and quarter panels. Use the website below to simulate the change in clearance and see if it will hit or clear on your current car. Keep in mind that the brake caliper clearance itself will depend on the shape of the face in the wheel too. It's a bit tricky. Lastly, excessive camber and tire stretch are a bad idea on the lancer or evo and can be damaging to the drivetrain. Make sure you get the correct width tire for the rim size you are upgrading to for max smiles per mile. Hope this helps.
