OK I'm just going to come out & say this (SRI ?)

Instead of just posting this in threads that haven't been seen by many in awhile.

I put together a DIY SRI using the Spectra 81403 adaptor. After looking in the K & N section of every auto shop here, none fit the 4 inches of the adaptor. So what can you guys be using? Adding a 4" - 3" converter only makes the tubing longer and leaving hardly any room to put a filter in. The only way to get one that I know of, is to special order one from K & N. So I went with the Spectra filter because it comes 4 inches, but I'd feel a lot better havin K & N, or am I just paranoid?

What am I missing hurrrrrrrrrr?????????

i did exactly what you did, can you link me up the same one you got? also, did you return the spectra one?

oh and which mounting bracket did you use and how did you mount it? i got that cheap $4.99 one but haven't really had any luck on using it, so i used 1 zip tie until i can get it mounted properly.

might just go get that $11.99 kit with more parts in it.

It's not a Honda noise. That's what most people don't understand. You drive a small-displacement inline motor. Doesn't matter if it's a Honda 1.5L or a :mitsu: 2L or a Chevy 2L. They all sound about the same because it's just a small motor sucking in and pushing out air.

Get used to it. Or just turbo your car, which changes the sound quite a bit.
