Got into a front collision last night, Airbags didn't deploy
 

I have a 2008 Lancer GTS and i got into a front end collision. Airbags didn't deploy on the car, i don't know how fast i was going, i wanna say between 30-45 MPH.

Going to have it looked into

Jesus..you ok??..what happened?who was at fault?
im surprised the airbags didnt deploy looks like some nasty damage happened.

something was deffinatelly wrong for those airbags not to go off ... either way i guess your lucky it didnt that time because the car might be saved

wow, looks like it would have but who knows always. Those systems take into count lots of stuff, Could be that most of the damage look like its in the center and not on the sides. I think thats where the sensors really are.

I'm at fault and i was out with my girlfriend on a date. But yeah damage looks bad, not sure if the car is totaled or not, maybe it can be saved we shall see.

Nobody was hurt, i think i may have slowed the impact some. Nobody got hurt in either car and the car i hit(Chevy Tahoe) took minimal damage.

I didn't hit the dash board or anything and i don't believe she did either.

ouch! my 02's airbags didn't go off either, but like said before hit's gotta be more the sides and the dealership said i had to be going over 40 at impact...i've hear of them going off at parking lot speeds tho, so dunno... but daym, that bent and twisted metal looks like u were going fast enough to set em off, i mean jesus if they don't go off on that...what's it take lol

I'm glad everyone is okay. The car looks like the accident was worse than what you are saying, same thing happened to my friend's Scion tC. It looked a lot worse than what had actually happened (Airbags also did not deploy), his insurance company changed their mind about 3 times if they were going to total it or not. He has had it back for almost a year now and it drives and looks like it did when he bought it. Just to give you some confidence about the repairs if your insurance company decides to go that way. i had some damage to my 03 evo 8... it was not that bad and they totaled it out man... hate to break the bad news man start looking for a new car... mine was totaled and it did not look that bad... it was because the frame was badly bent on mine.. hope for the best though

its close! i also think the air bags not going off is what saved it. lol did u hit a pole

that's messed up.. when I got in a serious accident my front air bags didn't deploy either.. old owner took off the crash bar due to upgrading intercooler

I should know by Monday or Tuesday whether it is totaled or not.
