Any How-to's On Headers

Hey all I just ordered my KAMKIKAZE headers any one have a how to? I't prob very simple but I like to read over instructions before I take on a project one my own? How long should it take to install? Any hints or tricks?

As you said, it's really simple. Looks hard but it ain't at all.

1. 24 hours prior to the install, put some loose nut on the 02 sensor on the header and all the other bolts. Espescially the ones that connects the downpipe to the cat

2. Disconnect the 02 sensor

3. Take off the heatshield

4. Take off the bolts that connect the downpipe and the header, and the bolts that hold the downpipe to the engine

5. Take off the bolts that connect the downpipe to the cat

6. Put the downpipe aside

7. Take off the bolts that hold the header to the engine

8. Install the header

9. Install the downpipe

10. Keep the hood open, start the engine, get a beer and enjoy your work {thumbup}

Just got my headers today, before install, is there any other gaskets i should have to buy? One came with it to connect to down pipe but that was it. Will that be ok?

NM found it.....

One issue with the stock header is the one nut in the lower left corner, it's tucked in behind the power steering pump. The way to remove it is a little trickey since you can't get a socket on it.

1. Get a 12mm box wrench (close ended works best) and some rope or speaker wire (it may be 14mm, but i forget)
2. Tie the rope/wire to the end of the wrench you won't be using
3. Put the wrench onto the nut
4. Feed the wire up through the space between #3 and #4 on the header (closest to drivers side)
5. Pull up on the wire to bust loose the nut.
6. Take the rope off the wrench and continue to loosen.

I tied the loose end of the wire (I didn't have rope) to a hammer so I could get better leverage.

Left loosens, right tightens. If the stock manifold or piping are attached to it, turn it left. Then put on the Kamikaze and turn it right.
