.mov can't be played, why?!?
 

now, I've downloaded the nurburgring-956.mov from taner.net, all 112MB of it but now I can't watch the damn thang!! Quicktime 5 comes up with some "Can't find the right compressor" jive and I'm getting angry now... I can hear the sound but none of my movie programs can play that .mov (Real Player, The Playa and Windows Media Player) Someone please help as I NEED to watch it!!

Ah...that movie is some crazy stuff!! Strange as it should work with QT....but try downloading the divix plug-in. That should fix it. If not try converting it to a format your players recognize.

Deosn't work with QT and divx ain't gonna help as it's a .mov. What tools are there to convert it?

Not sure as I'm a Mac man myself:D There is so much stuff out there for PCs...its just a question of sitting down and looking!
That movie is insane....the car was fitted with a big ass camera which added significantly to the weight...and he gets overtaken by another 956!!! looked like he was standing still!!!
