the lancer's officially gone
 

hey guys, i hate to break it to you, but i have finally moved on from the lancer community. the lancer was fun while it lasted, but i just needed something more. everyone on this forum was really helpful for the past two years i've been here and you wouldn't believe how much info i learned just from these members, alone. this forum is amazingly good, organized, and really well maintained.. thanks KK ! but anyway, i just picked myself up a premium white pearl rsx type-s because i was sorta in a rush to get it. i didnt like how the 05 models were going to look, so i rushed my ass to get me one of the last white pearl 04 models in the tri-state. i did all the paperwork last saturday and i didnt get to pick it up until yesterday [friday] because it took them that long to find that color for me. i gotta be honest with you guys.. the lancer outhandles this acura and there's no question about it. the steering on the lancer is alot looser and the turning radius is alot tighter. like i said, the lancer was alot of fun while it lasted and for all of you who are skeptical of its performance POTENTIAL, you dont deserve to drive one :p. but again, i wanna give a thank you to all who have helped me these past 2 years.. and dont worry, i'll still be around on these forums providing my useless insight from time to time hehe. i cant let this 1500+ posts go to waste! :lol:.. here's a few pics just for kicks :D

anyway you should have gotten the g35 or the evo like you wanted.

evo = too much money for me

nice car, hows the performance compare to the lancer? :lol: We out-handle an rsx? Crazy. Anyways, why not a wrx or srt4 both are about the same price range as a new RSX, unless you bought urs used?

how much did you get for the lancer, did you change all the parts back to stock or what??

come on jeff, we all know 4 doors blow!

first off.. i didnt wanna get a wrx or srt-4 solely because, like jeff said, im tired of 4 door cars. also, i really dont like how the boxer engine sounds when its modded, let alone the srt-4's engine. my insurance would have been lower with those 4-door cars, but honda reliability AND resale value is probably the best. coz i got dicked hard with the resale of a mitsubishi.

second.. i got around $8330 (to be exact) for the lancer, while the book value was only $7200. they also gave it to me for invoice since the new 05's were coming out. and yes, i put it back to stock when i traded it in and the only thing i left on there was the tein lowering springs.

as far as modding this one goes, its gonna be pure JDM :D. there's no such thing as "rice" when it comes to me :lol: j/k.. im just gonna wait till i recover from my down payment before i start modding this one. i gotta enjoy the great feeling of riding stock before i slap some bigger rims and springs on this sucker.. hehe.

and as for jeremy [turboit].. u think we can get a deal if we get 2 nsx's together? :lol:
