Request: Installing Dvd player PT:2

I am getting my dvd deck Jensen 40W x 4 CD/DVD/MP3 Deck w/Fully Motorized 7" Widescreen LCD!! from besbuy
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1108125505761

i bought the wire adatper with it, (70-7001 part#) but it has wires on the other
side(the ones with the wires stickout) i have to install and i was wondering which ones i hook them up too!?!?!? I have never install and head unit before! so kinda really big noob question!

and i have done a search i really don't understand. i did find the wire diagram and got so lost with it! and does all the color match stright up? and will the manual have help out with this question?

bestbuy guy said it will bolt stright up to the stock mounting and i look online and it says it doesn't fit??

Wow, you seem really lost. Uh, when you take your stock headunit out, there should be these metal bracket type things on the sides of it. You take those off and put them on your new headunit. The brackets are just held on by some screws. Then your new headunit will just bolt right up. The wire harness you bought should have a color code diagram type thing on the back if you got it at best buy, because that's where I got my deck and harness from and it had the details for each wire on the back. Your deck should have come with some sort of the same diagram. You should be able to just match colors, but you might have to do some reading and just match description to description, like left front speaker(+) to left front speaker(+).

That's the most I can help.

you might not use a few of the wires like the illumination, and i thinnk maybe some of the outputs(RCA). Just make sure you conenct everything good and no bare wires are exposed. good luck...

I think if you didn't know what you were doing, then you should have just spent the 50 bucks. But hey, I did the same thing when I had my Maxima last year and it took me 3 hours just to install my deck including doing all the wiring. Hell it only took me 30 minutes to install into the Lancer.

Ah, that's normal. Never really does fit from what I hear. People have their own little solutions to it, so if it bugs you, you can do a search and find out how to fix it. Congrats on the install. You're first one right?
