It would be better to have them on full power than half power, yes.

Low power = risk of frying/wont last as long
High Power = Will last as long as suspected, but youll go through it quicker being they will be on all the time, but you wont risk frying them.

I was cleaning my car today an I found something interesting

On the inside of the driver-side door, there are three stickers: one airbag warning sticker, one tire pressure sticker and another sticker of interest...

It looks to me like HID might be an option the dealer can install. This sticker is here for a reason, so I am going to contact my dealership tommorow to find out more. I will keep yous posted....

That's there because this car shares so many parts with the Outlander. The Outlander can come equipped with HID lamps and some other nifty things. It's just another part of globalization - kinda like our gauge clusters have glowplug lights.

The HID system is built into the Outlander's ECU, just like our DRLs.

And I don't know how readily they'll swap, most likely (read: pretty freakin' sure) they won't swap at all.

Alright guys, who knows if this is right, cuz I still dont have my GTS yet but I saw a post in another forum about the DRLs. He says that the DRLs can be turnned off in the navigation settings. Hers the link in the other forum I was browsing through

http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com/t24491-headlights.htm

its the bottom post. Figured there was a lot of talk about the DRLs in the HID threads so I should mention it. Check it out guys see if this is true.

Hid

I am signed up on that forum also, so I PM'd the guy to see if he knows for sure what screen to go to. It must be a maintenance screen, that has some trick to get to. If it does work, I will let everyone know after I try it. It does make sense that there is a turn off, since the car body and electronics will be used in the upcoming EVO and Ralliart cars, which are supposed to have projectors and HID options.

What Adapter

If you have an easy solution I am sure that everyone here would like to know what it is. Please let us in on the adapter. I have a kit ready to install, but am waiting for a solution.
