MSD Dashhawk and Lancers

Wondering if this unit works with our cars as I dont want to get a traditional gauge pillar on top of my side curtain airbags.

I dont see any lancers listed at all

Best bet is to register on the DashHawk forum. I bought mine for my MS3 before the software was available. They are constently updating the software. To me, it is a great gauge pack and scan tool.

^^ thanks, just Mopac (a car store in Calgary) wont let me return it if I connect it and it doesn't work so I need some form of confirmation first.

I was hoping someone had already fiddled with it but .... oh well.

I emailed MSD and I'll post my answer here.

I sent them an email and this was their response.

"The Dashhawk should support 2008 model vehicles. All US vehicles are required to be CAN compliant in 2008."

It looks like a nice little unit to have hooked up, and from their response, we should have no problems with it.

I love it. It is the best thing that I have ever got for a car. It gives you the option to monitor up to seven things at once, however, I find it easier to read just monitoring four. With 16 million possible color combos for the LCD screen, you will be able to match it to your dash lights.

Apparently this is a myth. The A-pillar isn't going to fly at your head (which makes a LOT of sense, when you think about it). Doesn't matter if there's gauges or not. The airbags just pop out from under the pillar.
