accessing certain bulbs
im looking into l.e.d. for all my bulbs excluding my headlights. i think i know how to access all of them except for two. one is the side turn signal near the door panal. does the inside door panal have to be removed in order to access the bulb? or is there something i dont know about? also, im interested in swapping out my front corner light but i also have no idea how to access that bulb as well. could someone please shed some light on this? ive been browseing these forums regularly and i cant seem to find any how-to on this. thanks.
yea i suppose it is the front corner. its the amber one that comes stock thats sits offset to the low beam. i want to l.e.d. all the bulbs and those 2 are the only ones i havent found out how to remove before you posted about the side turn signals. thanks for that one. i read somewhere on here that you have to "bake" the fixtures to obtain the bulbs from inside? is this true or can they be removed fairly easily?
It all depends on what you call easily. I think if i where to do it, i would warm my oven to about 170 degrees, then turn off the oven. Put the parker in there for about 15 min, then use an exacto knife to pry it open. When you close it up, you need to make sure you make it water tight, you can use a lot of different products to do that. My dad has some epoxy that i use, i have no clue what brand it is. As for the parking bulbs, if u feel in behind the head light, its up in the corner by itself, and its just a quarter turn and they come out. Careful putting it back in, i managed to pull the led out in the head light and had to fish it out with some needle nose.
