I wouldn't worry about the car being your daily driver in regard to using bearings. think the biggest issue will be cost and time to fit and install. if they can stand up to the G's of an autox event they can stand up to anything. Still havenot found that damn book. I guess my wife does not like where i put things.

Thank you for your effort, I'll be standing by for additional information. Do you know how I would go about picking a bearing set to fit my 08 Lancer ES...? My Uncle owns a Auto Shop and probably do the fabrication. Plus, there are a couple Tuner Shops in the area that I could also take it to...

Thanks again,

Thanks again,

Sorry for the delay. I went to a double autocross event this weekend and work has been crazy. I found the books, but they did not have as much info as I anticipated. the far north racing link i provided you earlier has a contact link somewhere on the site so you can email him questions. the bearing manufacturer site has adesign guide the explains how to select the proper bearing. I did talk with a couple of autox'rs this weekend and they told me they preferred the nylon bushings to the Urethane bushings because the urethane bushings can bind up. All agreed that bearings are the way to go. contact the bearing manufacturer and see if they can supply any design info to you.

for info purposes, here are some books that will provide some good info on car suspension, tires, etc:

Hope this helps!
