Trying to do some troubleshooting

I have an 02 lancer that i just picked up 2 months ago, just he other day i started hearing some noises from the front end. It sounded like a soft grinding when i took left turns and while straight but would go away when i turned right. Then while making a trip from Mass to Maine I noticed that it started to get a little worse, until about 20 miles remaining on the highway it progressed into what sounded like a helicopter and the steering wheel was shaking really bad. Now i am somewhat mechanically incline and know my way around a car so I'm thinking its the passanger wheel bearing or CV. As of right now I obv cant drive it and need to get it back up and driving, I'm leaning more towards the wheel bearing anybody else have any suggestions??
