2009 Lancer HID's--Standard?
 

I looked on the :mitsu: website to look at the specs for to 09 GTS and it said that it came with HID's. Can anyone confirm this? Also if you have a picture of the stock HID's please post a picture!

They are available now as part of the "Touring Package" which includes the HID projectors, traction control, and rain sensing wipers. The package became available about 4 months after the 09 Lancers where introduced to the public.

So it does NOT come with HID's then...

^ No they are not standard, just part of a package... the specs page you looked at has a dot for both halogen and HIDs (part of Touring Package)

Aftermarkets aren't the same just FYI.

They only offer the touring package on the american models and you have to get the nav package before you can get the touring pack. I believe the touring pack comes with projector headlights instead of our reflector headlights which it way better for HID"S

I know, HID's are a whole new kit that you have to install.:D

No you have to get the actual projectors which you can't buy for less then about $3,000 from the dealership. Otherwise it's illegal and unsafe and looks trashy in most cases, in all cases worse then the real thing.

Thanks for the info Nathan0490, I was actually gonna spend 200 bucks on a NOTTO® SE HID kit thinking that was all I needed. Glad I didn't waste the cash when it would look crappy.

Your welcome. I know many of us are waiting for a reliable company to come out with some projectors for a reasonable price. Once that happens I will be happy {thumbup}.

Do you guys know if you can get the package added, after you already bought the car??
I bought my 09 GTS in sept. and i dont wanna do it the afetrmarket setup. thanks

Just do what I will do. Wait until get the ralliart headlight on ebay
