yeah at this point i'm confident the flywheels and clutches match up, id just now like to know if a mirage lsd will work on the lancer. do any of you know a place to get a mirage clutch that will handle at least 250 ft/lbs, for a decent price?

clutchmasters.

EDIT: i measured the OEM fly and got a dead 11in. however, it does utilize the 7 bolt pattern. i'm really tired and don't feel up for counting teeth yet.

hey i was curious to see if the flywheels were the same as well. i found that the fidanza for our car is far too light for street use, and a couple vendors have told me about the 1.8 flywheels made by ACT. it seems that there might be a slight discrepency in the diameter between the 1.8 and 2.0. anyone found anything else out yet??

i have also thoght about this, i believe it would fit, when i put my stage 2 clutch in i used the 1.8 mirage aligment tool, maybe somebody can get a deal with a company for a test fit , so that way they can also market it for lancers they would be beneffiting from it.

A MIRAGE CLUTCH FOR A 4G93 WILL FIT A 4G94 LANCER. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT YOU WILL NEED A 4G94 THROW OUT BEARING.

both the clutch and flywheel SEEM to match up. make sure it's off of a 5g mirage though.....like n1te said; you can use the 4g93 clutch but you need to obtain a 4g94 TOB

the CK5A(1.8L) and CS6A(2.0L) do have the same part number for the flywheel. MD749708

the TOB also match between the mirage and the 04+ lancer. this is because in the 02-03 lancer, the TOB and clutch release fork were a single assembly. in the 04+, it switched back to the multi part assembly which came from the mirage trannies. MD722744 for the throw out bearing.

nope. you'd have to get the single assembly MR953195.

i have no idea whether or not you can just swap over the stuff from the 04+ so then you'd only have to replace the TOB down the road. there are a bunch of different part numbers for bell housings. 4 from 02-03, and 2 from 04-05.

hmm, interesting, well i just bought a 1997 1.8 L mirage clutch, so does this mean i would have to reuse, or buy a new throwout bearing now?

Yeah, get a new throwout bearing for a lancer. They aren't too much, but you might want to call the mitsu dealer and give them your vin so they can tell you which one you need.
