if they're all the factory then i don't think that you can replace the head unit without some custom work.

why are you wanting to replace the radio? personally I love it. it's simple and sounds great. I added a aux input with one of those in line fm modulators that plugs directly into the antenna.

I have an Alpine CDA-117 headunit in my RA. The factory one had to go because, personally, I thought it sounded like poo and plus I have a completely different stereo in my car. Factory, it came with the "Infinity/Mitsubishi" stereo and "Infinity" 6CD changer. On the back of the stock Headunit there will be a DIN cable that runs below to the changer. As for using the 6CD changer with an aftermarket headunit, I am ~99% positive it won't work. The reason is the din cable and that it is made for our factory headunits. Also, 95% of the aftermarket headunits use iPod and MP3 cds, thus making cd changers obsolete. If you want to run the both the factory headunit and changer with an aftermarket amp then all you need is either an amp that can take high voltage connections, an in-line adapter or a processor such as the Rockford Fosgate 3.SIXTY. The in-line is the cheaper of the 3.
