well for me the splitter rods, give more rigidity to the whole thing, without them, the splitter would probably snap at higher speeds due to wind, and yes they are adjustable.

 

dont go cf just make one made from a like 24g sheet metal be cheaper and just paint it black.you wont hate your self when you scrape it the first time un like with the cf one heres a pick of my boys civic with his on that he made
