Dumbest ? ever but im bored

This is the dumbest ? ever but eh. I have always wondered this. Why dont people ever paint their CF hood or parts? I mean sure it looks sexy by itself but you know some times a little paint job here and there will bring out the CF hood more. I mean are you not allowed to paint over a CF hood or is it even possible maybe its just me (and probably is) but i have yet to see some1 with a slight paint modification or custom paint graphics on any CF part of the car.

People paint their CF parts, but they usually don't. If it's a carbon body kit or something like that, they'll paint it, but usually they're only one or two parts to accent the car (such as a hood and trunk).

There's a gentleman on the forums here who has painted his CF bumper and left his lip exposed in CF.

By far I think that's the most creative thing that anyone has done in a while.

people dont paint their CF stuff b/c they want to show the CF parts...others wouldn't really know for certain if a CF part is painted since CF has a distinctive color/texture

There are people who do paint their carbon fiber parts. There is someone in the forum that painted his carbon fiber hood. He didn't paint it entirely but he did paint it. Also, some people buy carbon fiber for the whole purpose of not having to paint it.

do u mean, Candy? they use a candy paint ( or kandy... ) to allow the carbon to achieve a color similar to the car ( red car = red candy over cf. ) i saw it on a '99 eclipse years ago, and its starting to get more and more popular.

Were you guys talking about me?

I thought it looked more agressive to have some of the hood painted, but as someone said earlier, painting an entire cf piece is kind of pointless because then no one knows it's cf! For racing and stuff who cares if you can see the cf, but for shows if you don't show it off, the judges won't know its there and you can lose points!
